The new owners of the Grimsby Peach Kings are confident they can uphold the high standards set by former owner Lyle Killins, and maybe even surpass them in some ways. Don Kilgallen, Dan Nielson and longtime Peach Kings coach Dave Brownridge recently completed a deal to buy the club from Killins, who built the Peach Kings into a perennial contender on the ice and well-respected organization within the community. ?Our expectations will be to continue the same level and same philosophy with the kids that Lyle has for the last several years,? said Kilgallen, who will act as co-general manager with Nielson while Brownridge continues on as head coach. ?We certainly have some levels of expectations to maintain and we feel we can maintain them, and even take them to the next level.
